On the show, Arunita shared a close bond with every contestant, but her equation with co-contestant Pawandeep Rajan often grabbed headlines. Arunita has now reacted to speculations about her alleged romance with Pawandeep Rajan. Speaking with Indian Express, Arunita Kanjilal dismissed rumours and mentioned she and Pawandeep are just ‘very close friends’. She set the record straight on her relationship with the Indian Idol 12 co-contestant.
Arunita said, “Honestly, we are very close friends. And I share the same equation with my other co-contestants too. It’s a show, and a lot of things are done just for fun. I think people shouldn’t take everything seriously.”
Although there has been much speculation about Arunita and Pawandeep’s relationship, the contestants have always maintained they are good friends. Even the audience and fans enjoy the connection between them. Arunita and Pawandeep Rajan are fighting for the trophy with Sayli Kamble, Shanmukhapriya, Mohd Danish and Nihal Tauro.
Arunita Kanjilal, who has already received an offer to work with filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, has previously won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Bengali. Arunita had then also impressed everyone with her talent and singing.
